About Me
Orla Sloyan is living and working as a photographic artist in Co. Mayo, in the west of Ireland. She graduated from the Dublin Institute of Technology in 2009 with an honors degree in photography. Whilst in college she won the Smedia News photographer of the Year award in 2008. Rediscovering Ireland was part of her degree show, and was exhibited at the National Photographic Gallery in Dublin. The exhibition was chosen by the Alliance Francais as part of their group exhibition at their gallery at Kildare St. in September ‘09.
Orla has a great interest in photographically documenting contemporary life in Ireland and she has several projects on going, such as Primetime .
